1. Burnt orange is not a pretty color.

2. There should not every be rick rack on college marching band pants (unless it's Yale's or Stanford's marching bands mocking bands that have uniforms stuck in 1974, a year that wants its uniform pants back, thank you very much.)

4. First championship since 1992? Really? Awesome. I watched that one from Vermont.

(I kept falling asleep during the game, but the "whoooomp, have a class you haven't taught in a few years" factor seems to have drained me since my first post work nap yesterday was unintentional and before 5 pm. I woke up for the important bits, though.)

5. I'm sorry about TCU. I have to admit, I found myself agreeing with the guy on NPR encouraging the AP poll members to vote for Boise State as a protest to help force a playoff system for the college football championship.

I was torn. I had no skin in the game, but on the one hand, baby!QB did such a good job. I was very proud of the way he sucked it up and got on with the game.

On the other hand, Alabama's quarterback is a freakin' Rhodes scholar, and took a year off in the middle of his sports career to go study in Europe.
